What is Crystal Wash?
Crystal Wash started from a desire to change the way we wash clothes... by naturally cleaning our clothes, saving us money and enhancing the longevity of our clothes.

Everyone has to do laundry and the average household goes through gallons and gallons of laundry detergent a year. What if you could wash your clothes as effectively as laundry detergent without using any of the chemicals, dyes, perfumes or detergents? And even better – what if you simply didn’t need to spend money on laundry detergent anymore?

Crystal Wash is a new proven technology that will last for up to 1000 loads of laundry. Using the power of Bio Ceramics from the earth, you can naturally clean your clothes as effectively as laundry detergent and it is better for your skin, the environment and more gentle on your fabrics.

These special Bio Ceramics were developed using various minerals with very effective antibacterial and anti-oxidant properties.

Here is How Crystal Wash Works
The pH level of laundry water impacts the wash greatly. If the water is overly acidic or alkaline it can damage delicate clothes and fabrics, cause colors to fade and cause clothing to still seem dirty even after washing. Most detergents on the market are a pH level of 6.5 – 9, but they use chemicals to achieve these levels.

The key to Crystal Wash is that the Bio Ceramics create two key benefits in the laundry water.

2 Key Benefits
Deep cleaning
As Crystal Wash moves around in your laundry machine during a cycle, it changes the chemistry and raises the pH balance of the water. The higher Alkaline water created by Crystal Wash enables dirts and soils to be soaked free naturally.

This process creates a natural Hydrogen Peroxide type effect, which disinfects your clothes... killing bacteria and odors.

The combination of these two things is what makes Crystal Wash so effective, AND they will last for at least 1000 washes! That’s about three years of doing laundry, if you averaged one load per day.

Nature working with Nature
As the Bio Ceramics collect odors, dirt and waste from your laundry, you simply put them in the sun for an afternoon to recharge them. You only need to do this approximately every 30 days (or laundry loads). There is nothing else you need to do. Just a little sun and they will be just as effective as their first wash.... now that’s nature working with nature!

Demonstrated results
In two independent studies Crystal Wash was proven to be more effective in washing 4 out of 5 of the most stained colors.

Green - Crystal Wash more effective
Yellow - Crystal Wash more effective
Blue - Crystal Wash more effective
Light Yellow - Crystal Wash more effective
White - Crystal Wash less effective

The only color Crystal Wash was not ‘More Effective’ was White, however the results were very close… Another additional test showed that on a scale of 1 to 5 in cleaning Whites (1 being the worst stain removing and 5 being the best), that Detergent scored a 4.5 and Crystal Wash scored a 4.0. So you can rest assured Crystal Wash is effective in cleaning all your laundry colors.
***Color Comparison Study Conducted by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
***White Stain Removing Study Conducted by SGS Testing & Control Services.

Crystal Wash Removes Bacteria As Well As Detergent
Bacteria removed with Crystal Wash 99.9%
Bacteria removed with Detergent 99.9%

Another study compared the removal of bacteria from laundry with Crystal Wash vs. Detergent. Crystal Wash proved to be equally as effective, without the use of chemicals!

    Be open-minded and try these,

I have saved loads of money, given these as a gift, and although my original order is still working after 3+ years, I ordered 2 more sets for my home so I can never be without them!! Let go of the stubbornness, science works!!

  2. 4 out of 5

I received these about six months ago, and got them because my husband has eczema and we try and not use anything with dyes and perfumes on his skin. I already use peroxide with a sprayer in the bottle to clean everything! So I thought it would make sense on your clothes too! It really works great so far, I am shocked! The directions say works better in warm water, which I am sure it does, but I use cold water to wash my clothes and it works good to me!

I’ve only used these with a few loads of wash and they seem pretty effective. I find that hot water really beats up my clothes so I prefer not to use it. I may end up using these on bedding, towels, and other things that don’t have perspiration and wash the work out clothes in detergent – ultimately, I really like the idea of washing my clothes without using detergents, so I’ll use these whenever I can.

    Love, Love these Balls.

I bought a set of Crystal Wash 2 years ago and have decided to get another set because they work great and I haven’t bought detergent in 2 years…my laundry comes out clean and fresh with these!!

  5. 4 out of 5

Amazingly, these wash balls work very well

I’ve used these for the past 6 weeks, doing 3 loads a week. My loads aren’t stained, nor overly sweaty since I don’t have kids or have a job where I’m physical. So these work well for me, no one has complained about my clothes being stinky or anything. I washed some new black denim leggings and in the past my other leggings faded using regular Tide; well, not so using the Crystal Wash balls, they seem to be holding the black dye after several washings

Works great on lightly soiled clothes - no chemicals or fragrances!

There are six of us in the family, and we live on a farm and have boys in sports so I do tons and tons of laundry. We have a septic system at our house, so I’m always careful not to dump lots of chemicals and cleaning products into it. I use vinegar and baking soda for many cleaning jobs, and try to minimize detergents and solvents too. I’m not against using chemicals if truly needed, but the fewer chemicals we expose ourselves to, the better.

I was intrigued by the idea of getting clothes clean without using detergent, and did a little reading about them at crystal wash dot com before they arrived. The balls work by changing the pH of water to be more alkaline, which helps release dirt. They also create a natural hydrogen peroxide that disinfects, which in turn removes odors caused by bacteria. They are supposed to last up to 1,000 washes and can be recharged by leaving them in the sun.

When they arrived, I did a load of towels in warm water. They came out of the washer odor free and looked good after drying. Next I did a load of jeans, a load of whites, then a load of colored shirts and shorts. They all came out clean and odor-free afterwards.

The next, and hardest, test was stinky, stained football and baseball uniforms and workout clothes. I wasn’t as pleased with the performance of these balls on this test. For ground in red dirt and grass stains I always pre-treat with a stain remover (and the instructions in the Crystal Wash box recommended I do so with heavy soil). Most of the stains did come out the same as with regular laundry detergent. However, the balls didn’t remove the smell from these clothes. We don’t use fabric softener as a rule (one person has allergies to it, and again I don’t like using chemicals unless needed), but laundry detergent seems to remove or cover the smells in sports clothes.

So, for lightly soiled non-stinky laundry I really like these balls a lot and will continue to use them. For extra stinky, heavily stained sports clothes I will continue to use pre-treating spray and laundry detergent.

just amazing – and natural – it works beautifully and keeps me green…. love!!!!!

    Can't believe it!

I first tried them out on my clothes & they seemed to come very clean. My boyfriend is very picky about his clothes so I was hesitant to use them on his. He likes the smell of the laundry soap. This last time I did laundry I used them on his clothes in hot water & used fabric softener for the smell he likes. He never said a word!! Good by laundry soap!

Can't WAIT to get my second set!!

I use to use organic and natural based laundry detergent, then I began making my own natural laundry detergents and then I discovered Crystal Wash. They actually work really well but we do need to recharge them every week. We do have an organically ran mini farm with chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, rabbits, and great pyreenes so we have a lotta poop around here. We sweat a lot, feeding, cleaning up, getting eggs or milking. My hubby is an electrition and he also gets oil on his clothes. Never a problem. Clothes smell clean coming out of the washer. Not full of chemicals and they line dry same as when I use soap. I do think the clothes are softer though with crystal wash. There was a kickstarter fund going and they’ll have a microchip that will connect to your phone through an app so you’ll know just when you need to recharge them. I ADORED these and I need to buy another set as based on our 12 loads of laundry a week we’ll get 80ish weeks out of it. That’s almost 2 years of safe, environmentally friendly, no allergy worries, baby safe clothes cleaning for practically nothing. And, having a 2nd set would mean I’m not doing 2 extra loads in sometime in the week. Yeah…they’re TOTALLY worth it!

  10. 4 out of 5

    Crazy but they work!

Got these yesterday and did 2 loads today. Clothes came out clean, including blood on my daughters sweatpants. I will wash more loads this weekend. If still pleased I will order sets for my son and niece for college! Amazing. Get them while you can.

  11. 4 out of 5

    Works like real detergent.

I bought two more sets because I never want to run out of these. I have not had to buy detergent in over a year. My clothes are clean and do not smell. I do have to be careful not to use them with clothes that have threads that may catch on the balls. Other than that Crystal Wash is great and work well with all my clothes, sheets, towels etc.

  12. 4 out of 5

    I'm all about being green

I have sensitive skin and now I don’t have to pay $25 for vegan laundry soup . This works great on my gym, cycle and running clothes and on regular clothing works just as great.

  13. 5 out of 5

I was skeptical to say the least.

But anything to save some real money. These do the trick. They can be used in HE or regular washers. Plus no allergy problems because there is no soap to be rinsed out. Great for humans and with no chemicals great for pets also. The initial cost looks high but when you add up the chemicals to wash, bleach and soften your clothes this is inexpensive. Wonderful value for your money.

These are the best..... love love love!!!!

I’ve had these now for about 2 months, just love, love them! they clean better then anything I have tried. I don’t like the perfume smell that detergents leave on my clothes ….sensitive to smells…I don’t have to use warm water. I keep them in the washer and when i get ready to wash, done. I do use bleach for my towels and whites. Please keep these available!

  15. 5 out of 5

I was very skeptical about these

but I thought I would give these a try. I used them all weekend and every load I would pull out of the washer and give a big sniff even my husbands socks and nothing but a fresh clean smell. Amazing, I just hope they keep working. I also bought my mom and mother in law a set for Christmas.

  16. 5 out of 5

I bought these for both my daughters. They are both struggling in this economy . And they both said their laundry comes out very fresh and clean. What more could a Mom want.

  17. 5 out of 5

    They really work. Really.

If you are allergic to scents or if soaps irritate you, you will absolutely want to give this a try. These two balls go into your wash load instead of soap to clean your clothing.

I used these in my wash and in the midst of the cycle I peaked in to see how they were doing; the water was gray which told me the dirt was coming out of the clothing. After a few loads of testing with these, I can honestly say they really do clean your clothes.

What they don’t do is leave the clothing with a pleasant soapy scent that I love. So adding fabric softener, for me, was a must, just for the pleasant scent.

From a Skeptic to a Believer

Confession time: I was a big skeptic. I am a firm believer is soapy water getting out dirt and smells in laundry. I actually was hesitant to do the first load of laundry with these because I figured I would have to run it though again. I didn’t have the time to do things twice. But eventually, I gave in and tried out the Crystal Wash balls. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did my laundry come out clean, it smelled great and seemed (maybe my imagination?) a little brighter. So I tried them again, and again. All with the same results. We get some pretty dirty socks and clothes with two kids in the house. And lets just say that my husband’s walking shorts are not very pleasant. So far, so good. I am impressed with how easy these are to use and what a good job they do. And you can still use fabric softener if you want.

I should have really understood the theory behind them. I’ve used bio ceramics in a different way for years in my fish tanks. They are good in filters for keeping a good balance in the water.

So this skeptic is now a believer. No more bulky laundry containers from Costco. I’m sticking with these.

    I love these!

So I ordered 10 sets for my entire family will be set with Crystal Wash. The only time I ever use any other product with there are when there maybe greasy clothing, then I just add a few drops of Dawn Dish soap. Great money saver.

  20. 4 out of 5

    Who knew?

I have been using these and testing them at the same time. I love that I don’t have to buy detergent anymore (and stop reading ingredient labels to see if detergent is eco-skin safe). After I wash I use a reusable lavender sachet for the dryer. I love the results and the simplicity. I live in an apartment and often use multiple washers at a time, so will need to get another set. I gave away the second set to my boyfriend who loves using these as much as I do. He just leaves them in his washer all the time.

  21. 5 out of 5

    I Love Mine!

With Crystal Wash, I can wash a load of clothes in about 25 minutes. I just use the rinse and spin cycle. When used in addition to the dryer balls, it cuts my laundry day into about a third of the time previously Clothes come out clean and fluffy.

  22. 5 out of 5

    Nice Clean Soft Clothes.

This is the second time that I have ordered Crystal Wash and I think they do a better job than detergent. The clothes are cleaner and softer. I ordered a second set just to have when these run out.

Have been using Crystal Wash for YEARS

. Have bought a few dozen, have gifted, have sent around the world, have told everyone the would listen about them. What a wonderful and amazing product.

  24. 5 out of 5

I’ve been using this product for at least 12 years or more. The savings by using Crystal Wash is amazing. As a nurse, at one time, we all had to wear all white. I would wash with laundry detergent and a non-chlorine whitener, do a second rinse with white vinegar (to remove all or any build up that makes whites dingy) and dry with fabric softener. Now add all those items up, multiply that by a year and see the expense. Crystal Wash eliminates ALL laundry products. I even sent them with my oldest granddaughter when she went off to college. The laundry is clean and there is absolutely no need for fabric softener! I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

  25. 5 out of 5

I have used this product for 2 years. It’s still going strong. I purchased this for many family members as a gift. I always use some fabric softner and seldom use a half scoop of detergent if I feel the clothes are extra dirty or smelly. I don’t know how long 1100 washes are so I just bought another set so that I’m ready for when I can no longer use my first set. I keep my Crystal Wash in the wash all the time and have never preheat them with the water and have never had an oder or yellowing. I seldom remember to leave them in the sun but do every now and again and they still work!!! My experience with this has been fantastic and I would recommend it to everyone!!!

    Love these Crystal Wash....

I have been using them since they first come out. Sometimes I put a little detergent along with Crystal Wash. (not much, just a little detergent) If this would make you feel better, try doing so…. They really work & save a lot of money too. Not only that, if you use too much detergent, it clogs drains & creates problems with the washer too. In the long run, by using Crystal Wash, you also save on plumbing bills & are safe for the environment. In the winter, I put them on the window sill, where the sun shines the most. I leave them sitting in the sun, or, for a few days on cloudy days. I am soooooo glad they are still available.

    Great Fresh Feeling.

Love these Crystal Wash. Saved money on laundry detergent and cloths came out fresh and clean. Love them.

  30. 5 out of 5

    Great product!

This is our second set and we used them for a very long time before I felt it was time for a replacement. The refresh easily when left in the sun which can be a real challenge for many of us in the winter. Great for my hubby who developed a skin sensitivity to most detergents from out of nowhere. Highly recommend.

  31. 3 out of 5

    Interesting product.

I am using this more for my comforters and sheets. Not sure if this would be a product I will use for clothing of a machinist but does a decent job on the other items. It could possibly be a cost saving item for children away at college with low funds.

  32. 5 out of 5

I was skeptical at first, but trying is believing! Just imagine the thought of throwing two balls into your washer without adding any detergent and supposedly your clothes will come out looking clean. Well Crystal Wash does just that without heavy perfumes, dyes or chemicals. Just by using bioceramics which are a natural element that create hydrogen peroxide. When bioceramics are added to water they make alkaline which can remove a wider range of dirt and soil than most detergents and eliminating bacteria and germs, and best of all no residue!

The only disadvantage is you will not have that fresh clean scent unless you add fabric softener to your load, and I have notice it does not get my whites really white.

Depending on how often you wash, these should last you two to three years. Every couple of weeks just place the balls in the sun to recharge the bio ceramics for a few hours.

  33. 5 out of 5

    The only way to wash!

Crystal Wash leaves clothes with a freshness I’ve not seen in machine-washed clothes in years of doing laundry. We’ve now used Crystal Wash in our top-loading washing machine for many loads of laundry, and one bioceramics recharge (simply meaning we set the Crystal Wash balls out in sunshine for a couple of hours on a sunny afternoon).

These slightly-larger-than-softballs blue plastic balls look a bit like the flying ball that blindfolded Luke Skywalker attempts to hit with his light saber in “Star Wars,” but don’t let the high-tech look of these laundry balls fool you–these wash balls work naturally, and amazingly well!

The principle behind these wash balls is simple–just drop them in your washing machine along with the load of wash, and let them do their stuff. The Crystal Wash website description explains the deep cleaning ability of this system: “As Crystal Wash moves around in your laundry machine during a cycle, it changes the chemistry and raises the pH balance of the water. The higher Alkaline water created by Crystal Wash enables dirts and soils to be soaked free naturally,” and the equally important disinfecting power as: “This process creates a natural Hydrogen Peroxide type effect, which disinfects your clothes… killing bacteria and odors.”

We notice a fresh, unique fragrance something akin to ozone with a hint of charcoal which reminds me of the fresh smell of the meadow by the woods after a Spring thundershower. We found this natural fragrance so delightful we’ve felt no need to add any fabric softener as suggested by the manufacturer for those who prefer their laundry to have a certain scent.

One of the most exciting aspects to me about Crystal Wash, besides its amazing effectiveness at cleaning while saving money is that in the midst of this time of water resource awareness (we’re having a drought in California), I’ve been sharing “gray” water from laundry with the garden, so as to waste as little water as possible. I was previously limited to using only the final rinse water from laundry loads, since the wash cycle had so many soap suds.

What I’ve been most surprised and amazed to see while using Crystal Wash this past month is the amount of soap that still comes out of previously soap-washed clothes and linens–and I’m thrilled to see the amount of bubbles decreasing with each laundry load. Soap can (and does) build up in clothing, towels, and sheets–and that creates unnecessary wear and tear as well as dirt-attracting problems that we no longer have to deal with.

Hooray for Crystal Wash! This is the first truly revolutionary improvement in laundry I’ve seen in years, and I’m already telling family and friends to give it a try. Highly recommended!

    Crystal Wash Really Works!

We’ve been washing our clothes with Crystal Wash balls for a couple of weeks now, and these balls with ceramic marbles inside do a good job of cleaning most clothes, towels, and sheets. We like the fact that we’re not being exposed to all the chemicals in most detergents. We also like the fact that we’re saving money when we don’t buy those expensive chemicals.

So what don’t we like about Crystal Wash? The sales page notes that you may have to treat stubborn stains before washing, and we have found that to be accurate. When changing auto oil or fixing something around the house leaves stains on towels, those stains must be pre-treated; otherwise, they’ll be in the item for quite some time.

The Crystal Wash balls need recharging every couple of weeks. To do this, leave the balls out in sunshine for an afternoon. Our problem is that we haven’t had an afternoon’s worth of sunshine in all the days we’ve been using the balls, so we haven’t gotten to give them a good recharging. Nevertheless, they still seem to be working. Clothes look clean, and they don’t smell ‘perfumy’ like they once did.

Overall, Crystal Wash balls are a good solution to avoiding hazardous chemicals in towels and clothing, and the balls will be money-saving over their lifetime. The set of two balls is only a few dollars more than the last jug of detergent I purchased, so I can appreciate the money saved over the usable life of the balls.

I suggest you give these a try. I like them. Perhaps you will too.

I have had these for over a year now...

and they still work wonderful. They leave no soap residue on your clothes and no stiffness that sometimes can come from detergent. I would recommend these to every household. Anyone with sensitive skin, or allergies will be so thankful.

  36. 5 out of 5

    Truly amazing in hard water

We have nasty laundry. We have manure stains, grass stains, mud, oil, rust and just about anything else you can think of. Laundry is a big deal at our house. We also have a huge family with lots of teens. It is not just the outside critters that smell, teenage boys can give any barn a run for it’s money.

I mostly thought these would not work and it would be entertaining to debunk them.

Except, they work great. I had not noticed how really perfumed my laundry was until I used these. My laundry comes out smelling like nothing. Not manure, not sweat and not perfume. There is no odor at all.

There has been almost no sun to speak of here. But we were able to “recharge these” fine on a partly cloudy morning. They do a fabulous job of cleaning. The usual stuff will need to be pretreated. Blood and oil still take a little extra work. But these do every bit as well as expensive detergent. We are able to use a shorter cycle with these. We are on a well so that is wonderful.

The greatest thing about these is how beautifully they work with our rock hard water. Our clothes come out soft bright. We use much less fabric softener.

  37. 4 out of 5

Cut down on your laundry soap use.

I have to say, I was fairly skeptical of these. However, they do get the job done.

Our first use was with a London Fog raincoat. My husband had managed to get ketchup all over the lapel and on the inside. It was totally soaked in and crusty. Oh, did I mention he did this two years ago? And it sat in the trunk of his car, in Texas, for all that time.

So into the washer it went along with both Wash Balls. When it came out: No ketchup, no stain. Basically, it looked like new.

The next test was daily usage. We’ve been using them for 2 months now and they are doing a good job. For the adults in my house, the Wash Balls do a good enough job to keep our clothes fresh and clean, including our whites. The kids, however, well…. I find that I still need a little detergent (about 1/4 of what I used to use) to completely kill the “teenage feet funk”.

  38. 4 out of 5

Was shocked that they really work, even on sweaty, stinky clothes.

I’ve been using them for 6 weeks and 20 loads of laundry. I’m a single guy, work at home, and tend to wear the same stuff a few days. You know – “good T-shirts” and “broken-in T-shirts.” I also spend an hour or so a night on my elliptical and go through a couple of small towels. These get tossed in the basket with my clothes. And, yes, sometimes get pretty ripe after a few days.

Color me surprised when my clothes come out clean and odorless. Every time. So I did some research. I’m no scientist and don’t play one on TV. But according to the many sites I checked, the bio-ceramics increase the pH of the water and create Hydrogen Peroxide (In case you did not know it, Oxy-Clean is just powdered Hydrogen Peroxide.)

These actually work, and work well. They don’t do a great job on tough dirt or stains, so I’ll separate my laundry. Dirty and very dirty. Yea, I mix colors and white. Eventually I swear all my clothes wind up gray. Only one shade.

So picture a basket of sweat gym towels and damp towels from the shower, stewing for a week. Ripe. So I tossed this load in the washer with the two Crystal Wash balls (each a little larger that a baseball.) Hot water wash with cold water rinse. Everything came out CLEAN and 100% odor free.

Look at it this way – a large brand name liquid is around $16 and lasts me about three months. So these would pay for themselves in under a year. Most households go through detergent a lot faster. Plus you have the “green” aspect. No chemicals, soap, etc. in your clothes or down the drain.

    These really are a win-win.

  39. 5 out of 5

    No more mess!

I have used these and a similar product for 15 years. No spilled detergent or the need to store large heavy containers. My Clothes have retained shape and color.

  40. 5 out of 5

    These balls work!

Have used soap nuts which worked well. These are unique because the contents are Bio Ceramics. So far I am impressed. Lovely colour, and they work on my laundry!!

Now I do NOT have really really dirty items to wash, which is why I want a friend to try them since her husband may have work clothes that get dirtier and thus provide her with heavier soiled work clothes for testing these on.

And they are supposed to work best in HOT water which I do not use when doing laundry. Read a science article that noted even golf balls might work just as good as long as the items being washed are not heavily soiled.

Love that you need only place the washing balls in the sunshine every few washes which will dry them and make them work like new.UPDATE

Gave these to a friend to use because her husband works hard and unlike my lightly soiled clothing, his clothes get much dirtier and I wanted her opinion on if they work well on heavier soiled items. She told me today that she did his greasy vests in them and they came out as “clean” as if I had used laundry soap. She did add a lil degreaser ( but I usually always put that in when cleaning his vests).

  41. 4 out of 5

Not a detergent replacement, but close.

I didn’t think these would work. I’m a sucker for environmentally friendly products!

I have been using them almost exclusively now for about four months of laundry. Honestly, I’m pretty impressed. They really do neutralize odors! I mean, I’m a guy – my laundry is automatically going to smell worse than women’s…but the Crystal Wash Balls actually manage to make everything smell…neutral. Not super laundry clean (although a little capful of regular laundry detergent or fabric softener will do that), but just neutral.

Now I should point out that the reason it’s only four stars for this product from me is that these will not work on tougher stains. Sure, they will get rid of smells and work well enough for minor soiling, but you’re still going to need some sort of stain remover/detergent for anything that isn’t “”office dirty”" (what I call “”dirty”" after a day of wearing clothes to work).

Overall, they are great for regular loads. They’ve saved me a ton on unnecessary laundry detergent and when I need some extra cleaning power I just throw in a scoop of oxiclean or a cap of detergent.

  42. 5 out of 5

Works well, will save money in the long run and really does clean your clothes

It works. No, really. It does.
That’s the important bit. It does exactly what it claims, and it does it well.
Start your washer up, throw these bad boys (use both!) in, close the lid, and wait until the cycle is finished and your laundry is ready. It’s that simple. No more measuring liquid detergent. No more fiddling with annoying dry soap. You don’t have to spend $15-$20 per bottle of soap. You don’t have to worry about pods that your kids will eat (I’m kinda being sarcastic here). You DO have to spend $50 for a pair of these laundry balls, but the claim is “up to” 1000 loads of laundry. For my family, that’s going to be 166 weeks, or over 3 years. Actually, will be more than that, now that the step daughter is heading to college away from home.
When your laundry comes out, it will be stink and perfume free. This last bit is VERY important for me. I have eczema and if I don’t use the “free and clear” style laundry detergent, and drier sheets, my hands and skin dry out like nobody’s business. The Crystal Wash option means I don’t have a break out, which is great.
One important part to remember is the “recharging”, or so they call it. You will want to leave the balls out in the sun for a few hours between every bunch of washes. They recommend 30 washes or 30 days, whichever comes first. I’ve done about 7 loads of laundry with this now, and have recharged once just to see if anything changed. It didn’t, but that’s likely because the Crystal Wash balls didn’t need recharging.
If you want an extra smell/perfume/pleasant odor to your laundry, you can use scented drier sheets or fabric softeners. I choose not to, my wife chooses to as she likes the scent. Not having the scent is maybe my only gripe with the product for those that want it. Otherwise I really can’t seem to find a con to list.
In the end, this is a fantastic deal. You get 1000 loads of laundry for a good price relative to similar laundry detergent prices. And it works. No, really, it does work.

Great! But worried about winter "recharge"

It took a long time to convince my wife to give these a try. She was dubious, and not willing to risk a load of laundry on trying out something new. I finally got her to try them out on a load that was only my clothes. That way she didn’t need to risk anything of her own. And they work great! My clothes looked and smelled as clean as when I used regular detergent, and best of all I didn’t have any white residue. By smell, I mean normal, by the way. These have no scent, so there is no “fresh laundry scent” to stick your face in. But hey, no stinky clothes either! I haven’t tried these on any REALLY dirty clothes yet, and by all reports you still need to break out the detergent for the heavy duty jobs. But for regular day were they seem to work just great!

    Buying again!!!!

I do about 12 loads of laundry weekly in a large capacity, front-loading HE washer. My mother bought these for me about 6 months ago, as she had tried them. I really really like them. For whites, I did find things came out brighter when I added a little OxyClean, but overall, my laundry came out clean, smelling fresh, and soft (added bonus!). The only reason I didn’t give these 5 starts is that after about 5 months, they stopped working so well. So, I got maybe 300 loads out of them as opposed to the 1000+ they advertise, but it’s still a huge savings vs. detergent, and much healthier.

Love It - It Works Great!

I have been using this product for several weeks now. I am going to give you a review on how well it works, but cannot tell you if it last 1,000 washes. I have a very large household and there is not a day that goes by where my washer isn’t busy washing cloths. I also have Dogs, so their bedding must be washed almost everyday as well.

First let me tell you about the Dog bedding. They love to run outside and when they go out they love to roll in the grass and even with me brushing them off when they lay on their beds they de posit dirt, dirt and more dirt. Sigh! Now getting their bedding clean is a challenge for any detergent. I really wanted to see how this product worked with these very dirty Dog beddings. To my joy and amazement they came out clean, except for one where Mr. Tuffy (the main dog of the group) decided he would rub his back and rubbed deep deep dirt into his bed. That one took two washing to get it clean, but that would have taken three or more with my regular detergent. So it really passed the test with the Dog bedding. How did it do with People cloths. Great. The cloths are coming out very clean. I’m still not sure how this works but I do know that it does, and any product that can give me 1,000 washes at a time and it works is a God send to me. I’ll try to remember to put a update as to if it makes the 1,000 loads but you know I think it will.
