Our Review of HGH Energizer
HGH Energizer is one of the many “secretagogues” on the market today, meaning that it is a combination of amino acids and other ingredients said to increase the secretion of Human Growth Hormone by the pituitary gland.
Ingredients At A Glance
We believe most of the companies of these products mean well, but they simply do not have the best ingredients. Furthermore, this formula is made up of several inferior forms of amino acids.
Even so, we will examine the ingredients below to determine its efficacy.
HGH Energizer contains: Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine as Pyridoxine Hydrochloride), Tribulus Terrestris, L-Arginine Hydrochloride, L-Leucine, L-Glutamine, L-Lysine Hydrochloride, Gamma-Amino Butyric Acid, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine, Colostrum (standardized to contain 30 percent immunoglobins), L-Ornithine Hydrochloride, and L-Glycine.
Ingredients in Focus
We must note that all of the ingredients that contain Hydrochloride formations of either a vitamin or an amino acid are inferior versions of the original.
*Vitamin B6 – is in the form of Pyridoxine Hydrochloride. Vitamin B6 is needed for tyrosine to properly convert to thyroid hormone and adrenaline.
*Tribulus Terrestris – is a plant also known as puncture vine, caltrop, yellow vine and goathead. It has been used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine as an aphrodisiac and is known in Sanskrit by the name “gokshura.” Currently, it is used in supplements for its ability to increase testosterone to boost sex drive and build muscle.
*L-Arginine Hydrochloride – is known as a semi-essential amino acid in that, under normal circumstances, the body can produce enough of it for physiological purposes. Both physical and emotional stress can put more demand on the body for this amino acid, whereby it might need to be taken supplementally.
*L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine and L-Valine – are branched chain amino acids (BCAA) that aid in building muscle tissue and also needed during physical stress.
*L-Glutamine – is the most prevalent amino acid found in the muscles. It is said to enhance mental functions due to its ability to pass the blood-brain barrier.
*L-Lysine Hydrochloride – is an essential amino acid that aids in building protein and absorbing calcium. It increase circulation and boosts the immune system by helping it create antibodies in the body.
* Gamma-Amino Butyric Acid – is said to have a calming effect due to the fact that it is a neurotransmitter that inhibits the transmission of impulses from one cell to another within the central nervous system and prevents overfiring of the nerve cells.
*Colostrum - is secreted by the mammary glands in mammals within the first 24 to 48 hours after giving birth for the newborn to build the basic building blocks of the immune system to support lifelong immunity to disease and promote growth.
*L-Ornithine Hydrochloride - is an non-essential amino acid, meaning that it is an amino acid that the body can produce on its own. It is able to stimulate the release of growth hormone in the body, which helps metabolize fat. It is required for a healthy immune system and proper liver function. It also found in skin and tissue and helps to heal both.
*L-Glycine – is a nonessential amino acid that aids the body in protein production.
One red flag we see on this website is the company’s use of private labeling in its work with wholesalers. The site states “HGH Energizer can private label any of our formulations for you to develop your own unique brand identity.” We believe private labeling is harmless when it comes to basic grocery store items, but the private labeling of formulas and neutraceuticals is not a good thing in that it may be impossible for the user of the anti-aging formula to track the originations of the formula.
Another weak area of this site is that it does not include any scientific research regarding its particular formula. It only posts the results of a few studies regarding Human Growth Hormone in general.

Overall, we believe this formula has several downfalls. First of all, it contains the inferior versions of several amino acids. If the price was substantially lower than other anti-aging supplements, we may come to the conclusion that the company did so to reduce the price for consumers. But, the price is commensurate with other supplements with better formulations of amino acids.
Second of all, the exclusion of Pituitary Gland Extract as a base for the amino acids really diminishes, we believe, the ability of the body to have any substantial increase in Human Growth Hormone. This really must be included, along with L-Arginine, L-Glutamine, L-Lysine, and L-Tyrosine to truly experience the reverse signs of aging.
